After 33 years, farewell to #TeamHellersen
New year, new mission! For many people, the turn of the year marks a time to start something new. For Andreas Rabe, this was also the case. He took on his new position as head of nursing at the Sportklinik Hellersen. However, this task is not that new for him. Since he joined the team at the Sportklinik Hellersen in March 2022, he has assisted the previous nursing service manager, Anja Häfner, as her deputy.
Andreas Rabe brings a lot of experience with him. Shortly after his training as a nurse in 1997, he took over as deputy ward manager of the peripheral ward (pneumology, infectious diseases, sleep laboratory) of the Märkische Kliniken. In 2010, he moved to the intensive care unit and completed several advanced training courses over the years, including resuscitation and emergency trainer and wound expert. In 2020, he finally moved to Hagen Haspe to help set up a new intensive care unit and join the clinic's management team there. However, with the closure of the Rahmedetal Bridge on the A45, he returned to Lüdenscheid in March 2021 and decided to join the Sportklinik Hellersen.
"We wish Mr. Rabe every success in his new role and look forward to a good working relationship. Together we will further develop patient care in the future and become an even better contact for our patients," says Dirk Burghaus, Chairman of the Board of the Sportklinik Hellersen.
Anja Häfner is thus passing the baton and leaving #TeamHellersen on December 31 after 33 years. For many years, she worked in the functional service in the operating room before moving to the inpatient nursing area in 2018. In 2020, she took over as nursing director - first on an interim basis and finally officially in 2021.
Being a nurse was already her dream job when she was a child. "In elementary school, I had a red and white doctor's kit and a nurse's cap to play with. I just thought that was great. And my career aspirations didn't change throughout my school years. On the contrary. Later internships in nursing and also in a retirement home strengthened my resolve," remembers Anja Häfner. The decisive factor for her was above all the gratitude that patients show for the care they receive.
She had her first working day at the Sportklinik Hellersen in 1989 - directly after her examination as a nurse. "Of course, I was already familiar with the clinic back then," explains Anja Häfner. After so many years, it is difficult for her to say goodbye to her colleagues and the clinic, despite her own wishes. "I always enjoyed working at the Sportklinik Hellersen . I will miss my colleagues very much. It's a great and active togetherness. There is no anonymity here," says Anja Häfner.
"We thank Ms. Häfner for her years of loyalty and reliability. With her commitment to our patients and staff, she has enriched #TeamHellersen enormously. We wish her all the best for the future," says Dirk Burghaus.
